I wrote the script, co-wrote the music, co-produced and played multiple lead roles in WISEMEN, a holiday farce performed at ACT Theatre in 2011-2012.
Three representatives from the Wisemen Law Firm, Goldberg, Frankenstein, and Murray, are hired by a cuckolded Joseph to find and sue the illegitimate father of Jesus in this sacrilicious musical farce.
WISEMEN is an adaptation of the original show “Holiday Bizarre: A Jewish Christmas!” which was created and performed with dear friends at the Tractor Tavern and Rebar in Seattle, and at venues in Portland and NYC, from 2006-2010.
Everyone laughed, and the songs were all bangers.
We even “stood out” to some arts critics.
“Bestock stands out as a hearty singer, nimble dancer, and the most consistent laugh-getter.”
- Seattle Times
In a sea of Seattle holiday shows, this one definitely stands out.
- Drama in the Hood
“The sacrilegious hilarity is the perfect departure to the usual holiday theatrical fare.
“Bestock was the standout for me with his exceptionally varied characters as he went from Lawyer to Pope to Rapping Bunny with ease and completely sold all his numbers.”
- Broadway World
The many iterations of this show are owed to it’s numerous collaborators, so many talented artists have helped make this happen. Special shout out to original cast and co-creators Eli Rosenblatt, Quinn Redman, and Ben Rosenblatt, with thanks to Ben Harris, Eli Keltz, and Colin Smith.
The cast in 2012 pictured below included myself, Eli Rosenblatt, Dorcas Lewis, Gavin Cummins, and Matt Fulbright.
